Hello friends!
Please pray for us, the Children of Hope team, as we prepare to go to the International Eucharistic Congress in Ireland this June. It is a great honor to help lead the children and families that will attend the congress to adore Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. This will be the third IEC for Children of Hope to be present. Each time is a new part, pray we do what we can....all for Jesus! :)

A side note, we just celebrated the 10th anniversary of Children's Adoration at my parish! God is good!!!

Questions from Fr. Antoine to help one another deepen our insight on the Passion of Jesus-Christ

1/ Can we understand what the Mystery of Christmas is without finding what the Mystery of the Passion of Christ is?

2/ St Thomas Aquinas ask us: “Whether it was necessary for Christ to suffer for the deliverance of the Human race?

3/ “Whether there was any other possible way of delivering man?

4/“Whether it was the most suitable means?

5/ “ Whether it was fitting for Christ to suffer on the cross?

I encourage all the “searchers for truth” to spend some time researching the answers to those few questions which you can find in the Summa Theologica, Pt III-Q. 46

The positive effect will be to contemplate the mysteries of our salvation with our intelligence and heart instead of just going into the motion while attending the Liturgy of the Triduum!

I have hopes of getting to this to post and then....ah, life gets in the way! If you have any questions for Fr Antoine please comment and we shall try to get them answered right away. I hope and pray your lent is full of prayer, adoration and peace. You are all in our hearts and prayers each day. For all those who are trying to start adoration in their parish and schools and those who are trying to keep it going amidst the trials that come up. Believe me we know of these well and offer you all daily in our hearts and prayers. God bless you! Never give up! :) Eyes on Heaven!

I am so sorry for the long delay in updating you! I have had major computer difficulties, anyone know that problem too?

So, take a look at the website and see the changes! We have a new music CD!! Yea! I will get a sound clip up soon for you to hear. Also, we have a new DVD for your teens and young adults. Check those out.

St Dominic Savio

First, I apologize for the long delay in posting! I have good intentions but little time like most people! I hope to get more regular in writing!

Today is the feast day of one of my families all time favorite Saints! St Dominic Savio! He is such a favorite that 2 of my children have made their First Holy Communions on this day and today is the one year anniversary for one of them. Also, my 15 year old will take this Saint as his namesake in Confirmation in less than a month now.

St Dominic Savio is a great patron for children who adore. He served with great reverence at Holy Mass for St John Bosco from the age of 5. He lived a life close to Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. He had such a love for Mary.

I encourage you to learn more about him and share his life story with the children in your lives and envoke his prayers for your children.

7th Anniversary

Yesterday was a very special day for me! It was the 7th anniversary of beginning childrens adoration at my home parish of St Francis of Assisi in Wichita, Kansas. We began 02/02/02 at 2 pm! I can hardly believe it has been so long now. So many graces and miracles from these times of prayer with the children. I will write more this week about times from these hours but for today let me tell you of one precious memory from the first hour....

A young mother arrived with her 5 year old son, Alex, and said they were so happy to be there but would have to leave right after to get to another appointment and wouldn't have time to stop and talk. She thanked me in advance for getting this going, etc, and so we had our hour and when it was over we all left the chapel and I was surprised to see My friend and her son had gone back up to the front of the chapel and were kneeling in front of Jesus. Later she called me and said she had needed to leave to get to an urgent appointment but after it was over this little son whom she worried might not last an hour of adoration had turned to her while walking out and said, "Mom, can we stay a little longer? I'm not done talking to Jesus yet!" :-) She said, "How could I resist!"

Catholic Schools Week

Well, sorry for the delay in really kicking this blog off! It has been an amazingly busy two weeks for me, first with the preparations and then the actual week of activities getting Brother to all the schools. Let me tell you a bit about what we did....

We plan each year to bring in a Brother to lead children at various schools in our Diocese of Wichita, Kansas. This year it was fantastic! Br Gabriel Thomas joined us and was able to lead over 2400 children in 5 whirlwind days!

The differences in the schools is amazing! Some, and actually most of the schools here have atleast one day per month where the children are brought in to the church for adoration. They are led by either parent volunteers or teachers. I will talk more about that in future posts. But for now I will show you a few pictures from this fantastic week here.... more later...... :-)
